Copilot does not appear on my Office 365 apps.

Hi!
I've been trying to make Copilot available on Word and Excel; however, I didn't have success.
I've reached out to tech support; they've followed many troubleshooting steps without any resolution. Some of them were:

  • Updating Windows 11 to the latest version
  • Creating new users
  • Re-installing the Office 365 package

I'd like to know how to solve this issue since I'm paying for the Office 365 Personal subscription, which says that I'll be able to use this feature.

Thanks in advance.

    What You Can Do

    Option 1: Upgrade Your Plan

If you want Copilot in Word/Excel:

You'll need to upgrade to Microsoft 365 Business Standard or E3/E5 via a business tenant.

Then purchase the Copilot for Microsoft 365 license separately.

-Microsoft 365 Personal or Family plans do not qualify, even though they mention AI features — those apply mostly to Copilot in Edge/Bing, not Word/Excel.

Option 2: Use Copilot Web Features

As a Microsoft 365 Personal user, you do get:

    Copilot in Bing

    Copilot in Edge browser

Designer, Loop, and some AI features in online Office apps (Word for Web, PowerPoint Designer, etc.)

But again, not full Copilot in desktop Word or Excel.
