Organising One note

Question

Hi Group&nbsp;I have been using OneNote for a while and have got several notebooks, several sections in each notebook, and lots of pages in each section....&nbsp;I want to go through and tidy everything up but I would like to ask:&nbsp;when I am on a page or a section how do I know which notebook it is from/in?the tree on the left doesn't do what I think it should do i.e when you click on a section or a page I would have thought the notebook would be highlighted in the tree on the left so you know which notebook your in / using.&nbsp;I also would have thought you could right-click on a page or section and see a properties icon so you can then see where the page or section comes from?&nbsp;can someone advise how to find out the properties of a page/section so I can see what notebook it is assigned too?&nbsp;also is it possible to move a page or section easily to another notebook or a section in another notebook?&nbsp;regards Adrian&nbsp;

adrianwa&nbsp;&nbsp;Yes you can move sections / pages / subpages to another notebook / section. Pl right click the item in the side bar and choose move/copy and choose the necessary details

IN IN&nbsp; Hi&nbsp; thankyou for your reply i know i can move and copy pages.what i was asking was for&nbsp;someone to advise how to find out the properties of a page/section so I can see what notebook it is assigned too?as mentioned&nbsp;when you have 20 or 30 notebooks&nbsp;and your on a page/section it is not obvious&nbsp;which notebook it belongs too?unless i am doing something&nbsp;silly...A

adrianwa&nbsp;I don't know if this will help, but I use a fantastic OneNote add-in called "Onetastic" for OneNote. It includes a library of macros as well as the ability to develop your own. There are macros in the History category that will display summary pages with information about page authors, last edit date, etc for a section. It may be helpful. This tool only works in the OneNote desktop app, not the Windows store version. I believe that the vendor offers a trial version, I've owned it for many years so really don't remember.&nbsp;https://getonetastic.com/.&nbsp;&nbsp;It might be worth checking out.&nbsp;&nbsp;

adrianwa&nbsp;Hallo,&nbsp;I noticed as well that&nbsp; when you search for something and get loads of results there is&nbsp; no way to know from which notebook they are;&nbsp;&nbsp;in OneNote2016&nbsp; (and possibly on a large screen) you can leave leave the left notebook bar open and pinned; the active notebook is highlighted.&nbsp;My first post,&nbsp; hope it helps!&nbsp;&nbsp;
