Mac Word - how to make a template that updates each time??

I need to make a word template whereby each time I open it todays date has automatically updated (think I have figured this out). But I also have a couple of other fields that will need to be updated each time I open it e.g. a price (need to have the £ in front) then the words of that price. Another is a specific date of the following month. 

How do you do this please?
