Windows 11 PRO OEM on HP Devices
Hy, I have a kind of problem, our HP devices are shipped with a Windows 11 Pro OEM. We have Enterprise Mobility + Security E5 licenses which should support the upgrade process from W11 Pro to the E...
So...
after consultation with a Microsoft Technician it looks like the Enterprise Mobility + Security E5 licenses do not provide the ability to upgrade a Windows 11 PRO OEM to a Enterprise Version.
Solution:
Enterprise Mobility + Security E5 will not provide the ability to Upgrade to Windows 11 Enterprise, instead you will need to provide a Windows 10/11 Enterprise E5 license or Microsoft 365 Enterprise E5.

Thanks for sharing, any chance the Microsoft Technician metioned if it will auto activate if the HP devices were loaded with Windows 10/11 Enterprise image instead of Pro?
