Windows 10 Device Compliance
Our current device compliance policy for Windows 10 is set to 10.0.19041.264. I want to raise this to 19045.3636 as I have been updating the Windows 10 devices with 22H2.
When I change this to this Min OS Version, will this affect my Conditional Access Policy and will there be devices that might start throwing non compliance and will not be able to get to our network? Should I raise it to like OS version
19044.3086 |
Secondly, I have been pushing Windows 10 22H2 and I am littterally confused where it says it is In Progress in the Report but it is not showing as "Succeeded". What could be wrong and what can I look into for finding out the cause why the report is showing this way. It is still sitting like 28 machines needs to get the updates and it has not succeeded and it is showing as "In Progress" and I am confused with what it is doing and whether it is working or not working, installing or not installing.
Anyone has ran through this issue, please let me know. Appreciate your answer.

Hi oryxway,
regarding your first question, adjusting the minimum OS version in your device compliance policy typically shouldn't impact your Conditional Access Policy directly. However, it's important to be aware that some devices may become non-compliant if they don't meet the new minimum OS version requirement. To manage this, consider incrementally increasing the minimum OS version, like to 19044.3086, and keep an eye on device compliance status. If any devices fall out of compliance, take necessary steps to bring them back in line.
As for your second question, Windows updates can take time, especially when dealing with a large number of devices. If the update status is "In Progress" in the report, it means the update is still being installed. Check individual device statuses to see if the update is complete. If some devices are still not updated after a reasonable time, investigate further to identify and resolve any issues.
