Whether iOS native email client support app protection policy ?

Hi All, I tried to add an iOS native email client bundle id "com.apple.mobilemail" under the custom app in the App protection policy, but the policies are not working, anyone tested this bef...

Check this please: Can you use App Protection Policy to target iOS native mail app (com.apple.mobilemail) : Intune (reddit.com)

It seems that is not supported when devices are using MAM.

Thank you @ mikhailf for sharing the update, i read this previously since its old thought there might some change by the time looks like no, not sure if this can be achieved using custom apps, will test it once

Hi AnandP, It's still not possible to manage the native email client with app protection policies. Should you try to sign-in using the native e-mail client when requiring APP with a CA policy, you'll see the error: "you can't get there from here. It looks like you're trying to open this resource with a client app that is not available for use with app protection policies" the only 3rd party e-mail app on the list of apps that support https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/conditional-access/concept-conditional-access-grant#require-app-protection-policy, seems to be Nine Mail - Email & Calendar.

  Thank you Oktay Sari, yes, i had tested the same i was looking if there is something that can be done using custom app using bundle id of the native email client in APP but looks like no 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
