System Android - Manage Google Play app store

Hello,

I use Intune as MDM in “Corporate-owned, fully managed user devices” mode and Samsung KME.

We use the "Managed Google Play app store" to deploy our apps.

We have two applications in apk version, because customized for our business/company.
They are already present on the Store and this prevents us from putting them in the "Private applications" menu because a message tells us "The package name com.spockgestion.spock is already used by another application."

The other solution found would be to deploy this apk as an "Android business application":
I tried to open the rights for applications from unknown sources in order to authorize the installation of our apk (type= Android business application) on my test mobile/user and I assigned in “Available with or without enrollment”.

With this solution, I manage to install my two applications from the web page: http://portal.manage.microsoft.com/ (only visible place)

But after x minutes, my two apps are deleted and in the notifications I see this message from "Android System": "Deleted by your administrator" ☹

I can't find how to avoid this deletion, and understand where this message comes from to exclude my test group from this policy.

I saw these settings in the menus of the mobile: Settings-Security & Location > Device Admin Apps.

Has anyone ever faced this problem?

THANKS

Yes we have faced this with Android Enterprise.
We got it to work now both with internally and externally "private" apps
At the end the app will show up in Intune and we can choose to deploy different "tracks" "versions" to different groups.

    Link to explanation why:

    And how:
i followed this link to succeed with "Closed tracks":

    best of luck, Magnus

      Thank you for these articles.

Unfortunately, we have another problem blocking us:
Google has closed our Developer account and therefore your solution cannot be applied.

We do not have access to the menu described in your article, they are greyed out. And we read, that once the Dev account is closed, there is no solution to reopen it 😞

We tried to create a new gmail account to open a new developer account but Intune/MEM cannot manage a single Google Play synchronization account.

And if we try to disconnect the current account, this tells us that we must reset all 1500 mobiles, something impossible to do, knowing that we are in production.

Is there a way to switch google accounts without erasing everything?

        Hi

sorry I do not understand exactly what You are saying?

If your dev account is closed/terminated your published apps Will be removed from the Play store.

in Intune you create/link a separate Google play (admin) account (not dev) to been able to publish/ push public/private apps

Your Dev account can be reinstated if your apps were suspended by the reason, and that reason is resolved.

Try to resolve the root cause of your app suspension

also if You own the app You can Change the Bundle ID to something unique

example add company name at the end or something similar or of external app Ask external developers to make the Bundle ID unique

        Magnus
