Register devices in Intune without a licensed User logon
Hi
We currently have Hybrid Azure Joined setup where new devices are provisioned by Autopilot and enrolled into Intune and existing devices are hybrid joined and enrolled into Intune via group policy. The setup is working as expected, However we have a few hundred existing devices that are shared endpoints with generic logons. These devices are not logged onto by any user with a Intune license. The devices have successfully hybrid joined Azure but not enrolled into Intune because no user with a in Intune license logs onto them. How can we get these devices enrolled without going around to all the endpoints and logging on to them individually with a user with an Intune license.
I have read a little about device licenses as opposed to user licenses but can find any info on them or how to assign them, Surly Microsoft must have this Scenario covered.
thank you in advance for any help or advice

- Jente_VandijckBrass ContributorThe only possibility to do this is using an enrollment method that can make use "Intune Device Licenses". You don't need to assign these licenses, but you can only use them with Autopilot Self-Deploying mode (if you want it to go automatic). Of course, you need to re-autopilot the device.
- YmeregCopper ContributorHi,
Did you, finally, figure out how to bypass necessity to logon with a user ?
Using Device Enroller account as autologon account ?

Hello markf1975,
You can find Device Enrollment Manager under Devices -> Enroll devices.
This manager can enroll up to 1000 devices. You won't have to use several users, but still, you will have to go through all devices to enroll them.

Hi mikhailf
thank you for your response
So this user (manager) would still have to manually log onto the hundreds of machines to enroll them?
Is there not a more efficient way of achieving this. How would Microsoft normally handle Kiosk machines where a normal user doesn't log on?
