MacOS ADE Error

Hello everyone. I am running into an enrollment error when rolling out ADE for MacoOS devices.

 

I have a macbook pro I have added to Apple Business Manager using the Apple Configurator for IOS. The device appears in ABM, syncs to my Intune MDM, and I have assigned it an enrollment profile. I then Factory Reset the Macbook. Upon first boot it loads the AD Account sign in page and lets me input login credentials, then throws the following error message.

 

"Something went wrong - We're sorry, we ran into a problem. Please retry. If this happens again, factory reset your device to start over or contact your IT support person to do it for you."

 

I have tried changing networks, creating new profiles, removing the device from ABM and Intune and adding it again to the same result. I have my profile set with modern authentication with User Affinity. Any help with this would be appreciated.

    stevenw1435 We got a new MacOS and was enrolling it to Intune and getting the same error. It turns out there's an enrollment device restriction in the Intune environment which was probably setup earlier before the pandemic. You can check the enrollment failures by going to Devices > Monitor > Enrollment failures. Select the user that's enrolling the device and you'll get an idea why it fails. Hope this helps.

      At this point im at a loss. Apple and Microsoft both have very little in the way of error troubleshooting on the MacOS side of things. I've tried completely removing all links between ABM and Intune and following their setup steps to no success.

      What I have noticed is that the dynamic device group I setup for the shell script install of Company Portal cannot see ABM MBM devices when they are at the "ready to enroll" stage of deployment. In fact outside of the Enrollment Device page I can't see any MacOS devices I add to intune through ABM.
