Issue with Adjusting Volume in Windows 11 Multi App Kiosk

Hi,

I am trying to configure windows 11 Multi App Kiosk mode for 24H2 OS Build 26100.4946

I’ve successfully configured the Multi App Kiosk on Windows 11 24H2, but I can't adjust the volume, unlike in Windows 10.The device does allow me to configure the volume via the function keys in the keyboard but it doesn't allow me to configure it via the option available in the taskbar

As a workaround, I have to allow settings in my environment as app and open the volume mixer by right clicking the taskbar

Is there a way to enable volume control through the taskbar in this setup?

    Hi, NabilNahdi

    Thanks for your response.

I’ve tested the function keys on a keyboard, and they work as expected. However, these kiosks are designed to operate in a fully touchscreen environment, where a physical keyboard is not available. Therefore, being able to control the volume via the taskbar is crucial for my use case.

Additionally, PowerToys includes a variety of other options that I prefer not to expose to the end user.

Installing a separate app just to control the volume in kiosk mode doesn’t feel like the right approach, especially since this functionality worked on Windows 10 devices but no longer works in the current setup.

Hi, have you tried using the keys for volume up and down on your keyboard (if you have those keys?)

If not, perhaps you can configure them with PowerToys for example or you could even install an app to control de volume and allow the app in the config for the kiosk.
