iPads in Single App Mode stuck after Update
Hi,
We've got a bunch of iPads that we control via InTune, a bunch are set to Single App Mode.
They have auto-update on for iOS updates, however when they restart themselves after completing the update often(not always) they will go back to the lock screen rather than the single app screen.
Thankfully we've got the SN displayed on the lock screen and when we reboot from InTune it fixes it, however this isn't a proper solution.
Because it's single app mode it won't let the users swipe away the lock screen.
Has anyone got a fix for this?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Experiencing the same. Did you figure out any way to alleviate the issue?

Unfortunately no.

If you have a device passcode then I’ll suggest to remove it. It will give heaps of issues on single app mode on iPads. Besides, since the device is already locked down to a single app, a device passcode should not be needed. If you absolutely need it then I’ll suggest o configure it manually using guided access instead.

We don't have a device passcode.
There's no need for one, it's in single app mode.
The iPad won't swipe away the lock screen.

Grand. Then we got 1 right configuration out of the way. Do you have both Autonomous and kiosk configured then?
