Disable Computer Renaming
Hello, This is my first post here so sorry if I am posting in the wrong section. I want to push a policy that prevents device renaming via policy, even if the user has administrative rights. Howev...
Thank you for your reply. I am not referring to the company portal rename. I am talking about the rename PC via settings.
Thank you for the policy, however this only hides the my PC section. If the user has admin rights, they ca rename the PC via command prompt.

I assume they're not a local admin. Otherwise, you won't have access to it (once elevated rights are given to users management becomes useless and a burden - my sole opinion 🧠 )
- I know it blocks the user from accessing this PC. However as I said, if they are local admins they can do it via cmd.
I agree that users should not be local admins, and if it was I who made the decision I would not promote any user to localadmin, however my company does and I am tasked with investigating the option of blocking renaming.
