Device management and your privacy iOS Message
Hello all,
When installing the Company Portal on iOS BYOD mobiles, one of the steps displays a message that, your company can "Reset lost or stolen device to factory settings"
We have delicate users
that would stop the installation process after reading that message.
Is there a way to edit this message?
It only show's on iOS, Android devices don't get it.
Any advice , appreciated.
Thanks
You are unable to edit this message, it is built-in. You are using a so called personal enrollment method but it is actually not a BYOD method. You are in fact able to wipe a device so this message is also valid. The Apple BYOD method is called 'User Enrollment', with this enrollment method you as an Admin are unable to wipe the device. Personally, there are lot of downsides about Apple's User Enrollment, for example you need to work with Managed Apple ID's in Apple Business Manager. So I would completely understand you want to keep the enrollment as is, but then it is also fair the user is informed about what the possibilities are I think.
For Android you are not getting message because you probably use Android Work Profile and this is actually Google's solution for BYOD and you as an admin are unable to wipe a device.

- mddharun1Copper ContributorAs a small business owner, I was looking for an affordable yet robust MDM solution, and Apptec360 fit the bill perfectly. The easy setup process allowed me to get started quickly without any technical expertise. The ability to enforce password policies and app restrictions has helped me maintain a secure mobile environment for my employees. I am extremely satisfied with Apptec360.
