Device Category
Hi all,
I have a number of Android & iOS devices without a device category assigned. If I manage the device within the Intune portal and assign them to a category, is there any impact to the user? Or is the task done in the background with zero impact?

You can do this without any impact to current devices. But be aware that with device categories, when you register a device, the user will be asked to pick a category, so the registration process will change.

Thanks for the reminder about device categories. The role I have recently taken over, already had the device categories in place but hadn't been managed correctly, hence the clean up work now.
