this are the common facts where i would say Device Preaparaiton could be used:
cloud-only (Entra ID join)
faster, simpler deployments
better app sequencing
real-time reporting
GCC High / DoD environments
In my opinion, naming is not a problem as you can work with scripts or profiles to achieve this at deployment time or post-deployment.

Agree—these are strong use cases for Device Preparation, especially cloud-only (Entra ID join) and simplified deployments with better sequencing and visibility.
Naming isn’t really a blocker; it's just a preference to do it from provisioning itself.
