Re: Word Online (Web version) auto deletes text
You should be able to use the mobile apps instead of the browser versions of Word, Excel etc.

The mobile apps are fine if you are using your phone traditionally. However, when productivity is actually needed some (like myself) use the phone in DEX mode (desktop like environment. When using the mobile apps in this mode where you can use an actual keyboard and mouse, they are REALLY bad because it is only optimized for touch and makes it a huge pain to use. The web version , however, is optimized for keyboard and mouse. But the issues described above pop up becaise the web versions aren't domt like mobile browsers even when you request the desktop mode. Kind of sucks from a company that wants to move products to cloud versions.
At a guess, the desktop apps (Windows or Mac) will remain superior to all other versions for quite a long time.

This isn't a valid answer. Feedback has been provided AND this post has been made.
Microsoft needs to address this.

I prefer google docs than such laggy mobile apps. What is the meaning of web version if Microsoft is unable to fix such basic issue after so many years ? You should be serious with this problem as tablet users are increasing and they need browser version. But it doesn't matter anymore for me as I have shifted completely to google docs.

Mobile versions are even worse thus why we’re trying to use the online version.
If you want something truly stable, you need to run the Office desktop applications on a PC or Mac. Maybe that isn't an option in this case.
