Microsoft 365 Premium active, but Researcher and Agents missing in Copilot web and macOS
Hello,
I have a newly activated Microsoft 365 Premium personal subscription in the UK. Microsoft Support has confirmed that the subscription is active, but Researcher and the entire Agents section are missing from both Copilot on the web and the macOS app.
Microsoft's article "Get started with Researcher in Microsoft 365 Copilot" says Researcher is available to Microsoft 365 Premium and Pro subscribers:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-copilot/get-started-with-researcher-in-microsoft-365-copilot
We have verified that Copilot is signed in with the subscription owner's account, refreshed the browser, and signed out and back in. The same problem occurs in the Mac app. The sidebar shows New chat, Search, Library, Notebooks and More, but no Agents or Researcher.
Support confirmed the subscription is active but said their available troubleshooting tools could not resolve the missing features. They suggested a possible availability, rollout or entitlement issue and directed me here. No specific cause or restriction was confirmed.
Could someone from Microsoft please clarify:
1. Is Researcher currently available to UK personal Microsoft 365 Premium subscribers, including newly activated subscriptions or trials?
2. Are there any documented restrictions or rollout conditions that explain why the entire Agents section is missing?
3. If the account is eligible, which support team can inspect and correct its Researcher entitlement?
I'm asking about the Researcher agent described in the linked article, rather than the older Word Researcher feature or custom agent creation.
I'd appreciate a concrete eligibility answer and an escalation route, as the published documentation and the access available on my account do not match.
