Word conversion to PDF - Footnotes messed up in Bookmark view

Hello World....

New to this and not sure how this will go....When converting my 100 page word document (which has footnotes) to a PDF, I thought I was good! but when I click on the bookmarks, my headers under the bookmark view are all messed up.  For example, I have a Table X54 (where 54 is a footnote and is raised in superscript).  Well the bookmark header shows "Table X54F" where 54 is the footnote, and F is this paragraph identifier.  I just want Table X to show!! Unless I rename all Bookmark names/headers (50+) it is inaccurate.  I can delete the bookmarks but managers here want the bookmarks so people can pop around quickly in the PDF.  I don't know Macros, and cannot download any software.  Is there a trick I can do? :(.....
