Microsoft has fixed this problem.
DigitalNinja1980 Sorry to inform you that Word Read Aloud still only has artificial voices available as of 1/1/2024.
I am having the same issue. I cannot get the natural sounding voices. I'm going to have to find another app for this purpose.
