What is the difference between Office 365 and Microsoft 365?

Hello everyone! Just started to learn Microsoft cloud platform (most interest in Office 365 products), but on some Microsoft resources i found name "Microsoft 365", are this names means the same? Or...

This is just even more confusing, I got a message on my Computer saying: Microsoft 365 is the new Office 365. I pay a yearly Subs of $129 or something for Office 365 with 5 licences but does anyone have any concrete idea of what that gives me now with MS 365? Is that price going to up without any additional benefit? I already have so many WIN Pro licences anyway.
Why can't they do what Apple does with a free macOS (that is STABLE, does not need daily updates) and has PAGES, NUMBERS, KEYNOTE and MAIL included for free?
