What is the best way to implement a common shared calendar in O365 that works on mobile properly
The usual issue with such scenarios are mobile phones - they do not support access for shared mailboxes or public folders, and Groups have other limitations as you have noted. You should however be able to leverage the "new sharing experience" to show such Calendars on mobile devices, although it will require some additional setup. The new sharing experience is explained in detail here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/calendar-sharing-in-office-365-b576ecc3-0945-4d75-85f1-5efafb8a37b4
Hi Vasil,
thank you for your response.
It sounds great but how long do I have to wait before this becomes a reality?
This year? Next year?
What can I do in the interim? Create a sharepoint calendar/s?
Will it integrate well with mobile devices?
Thanks.
Best regards

You can use the new sharing model now, it's available for mobile devices. Eventually they will bring native support for shared mailboxes too, but we don't have any specific timelines.
