What happens if your Online Archive storage has exceeded after reducing a license

I've got an account on an E3 license and the Online Archive is currently at 60Gb of its 100Gb limit. I want to drop this E3 license to a Microsoft Business Standard license which gives 50Gb for the Online Archive. What would happen to the remaining 10Gb if I changed the license?
