unable to open office apps

Hi Experts

I am using office365, i have logged in to office365 using the url https://portal.office.com. After login i can see apps Word, Excel. When i click on any excel file  it prompts me for authentication and when i put my username, i see empty excel sheet i dont see i am logged in, at the top right corner i dont see my display name. Experts guide me
