'Text wrapping break' text showing in on screen documents
Uploading a docx document from an Apple Mac to 365 'Text Wrapping Break' appears in the document in 365, but only in on screen view, not when printed.
This is what it looks like:
Is there any way I can turn this off?
Grateful for any suggestions.
Thanks

It may be related to non-printing characters being displayed. These marks are visible on-screen but do not affect the printed document.
You may try to fix by the following:
- Turn Off Non-Printing Characters:
- In Word Online, look for the "Show/Hide" button (¶ symbol) in the toolbar. Clicking this will toggle the visibility of non-printing characters, including "Text Wrapping Break."
- Remove Text Wrapping Breaks:
- If you want to remove these breaks entirely, you can use the Find and Replace feature:
- Open the document in the desktop version of Word (if possible).
- Press Ctrl + H (Windows) or Command + H (Mac) to open the Find and Replace dialog.
- In the "Find what" field, type ^l (this represents a manual line break).
- Leave the "Replace with" field empty and click Replace All.
- Check Compatibility:
- Sometimes, formatting issues arise when transferring documents between platforms (e.g., Mac to Word Online). Ensure the document is saved in a compatible format like .docx.
