Tenant to Tenant migration with Domain

Hi,
Currently we have o365 tenant and syncing all users, groups from AD
Now due to brand changes, we need to change our AD Domain Forest and O365 tenant name
If we create new AD forest and establish Trust between old and new AD forest and after that, if we add new domain into existing O365 Tenant and start migrating users, groups to new forest using ADMT kind of tool, will it break anything?

In AD we will change Primary email IDs to new Domain 
Also, we will have new AD forest into existing AAD connect tools for sync. Object to O365

Will above plan work?
