Take sharepoint site for offline use

We are a small company that builds and uses our products and then also sells them to clients.  Over the last year, we invested heavily in Sharepoint to build a site for our internal users to where it is almost a user manual...and it worked extremely well.  The overall look and user experience works well for us.  Now we are wanting to migrate the entire site for installation of our product to where it will work in an offline capacity (on a local machine our product is installed on)...

Is there a way to do this?

- We will not need to "edit" or create new sites on the site, but may want to update from our online periodically (less than once a year...maybe)

- We do use the search functionality heavily

- Everything is hosted on our sharepoint site...no linking to external sites and such

Just trying to simply do this without trying to reinvent the wheel and only need to maintain one single repository to do so.

Why not link from from the local machine to the sharepoint site? Does the local machine have network access?
  • Not sure If I follow you here, by offline you mean to setup the site in read only mode? If so, this is something that can be done in SharePoint OnPremises...is this what you are asking for?
  • I’m very unsure you can do this at all! You can sync documents offline and access those but not the site itself
