Something went wrong - Outlook - Unable to add Gmail account Help

Hello guys,

 

I enabled Status IMAP is enabled in my Gmail and I was trying to link my Gmail to the outlook but I am getting "Something went wrong error". Pls, guide me on how can I do this. Thank you

    Microsoft announced they don't support the basic authentication of Exchange Online, including(Office365, Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.com).

      I have the exact same issue and it's a nightmare

        I have the exact same issue and you're right it is a nightmare!! I've tried everything and to no avail. I was able to add it to my wife's laptop without any issues.
