SmartArt graphic corrupting when attempting to add new branch
Hi all. I hope I'm posting in the correct place!
The Microsoft Tech team redirected me here after not being able to resolve my issue - would really appreciate your help, if possible!
I'm using Powerpoint on my Mac and am attempting to add a third branch to '6. EMOTIONS' (seen here):
BUT, when I press Enter to create the third branch, I get this:
It did happen earlier when I was trying to resize some of the shapes, but I managed to resolve this myself but now I am getting nowhere at this point in the mind map.
Looking forward to hearing any ideas on how to resolve this. Thank you in advance 🙂

Did you try Reset or Recreate the SmartArt Graphic?
Reset the SmartArt Graphic
Try resetting the SmartArt graphic to its default state:
- Select the SmartArt graphic
- Go to the
Designtab - Click on
Reset Graphicin theResetgroup
Recreate the SmartArt Graphic
If resetting doesn’t work, you might need to recreate the SmartArt graphic:
- Create a new SmartArt graphic
- Manually add the branches and text again
