SharePoint Syntex OCR not triggering on image files

Question

As of July 18, 2025 OCR does not appear to be triggering when uploading an image file to SharePoint when Syntex is activated.

Anyone else experiencing this? We have on multiple different tenancies.

You may consider on below:

Try uploading a few image files manually to see if OCR activates.
If you're using automation, consider adding a metadata update step post-upload.

This issue was noticed while doing a manual upload.&nbsp; I've done many since and the issue still occurs.&nbsp;
