Shared Mailbox office 365 with hybrid environment

Hi,

 

I did migration to mailbox from on prem exchange server

convert the mailbox to shared mailbox.

 

delete the user fro on prem - AD list

 

the shared mailbox deleted also from online exchange 365

 

why?

 

how to leave mailbox as shared mailbox

and delete user from on prem AD list

office 365

    You cannot delete the user object. Mailboxes, shared ones included, all have an underlying user object. If you delete the user, or exclude it from the scope of sync, the mailbox will be gone as well.

      So there is no option to save mailbox as Shared and delete the user?
