Hi Shehan,
Yes you can coexist Exchange 2016 with Exchange 2010 that is in your environment.

But the think here is that if you need to remove your Exchange 2010 OnPrem deployment, this is something you can do. See this: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/exchange/2012/12/05/decommissioning-your-exchange-2010-servers-in-a-hybrid-deployment/

Hi Juan,
Thanks for the link. I agree with you but basically we need to keep the identity management as it is. So I guess co-existence option might be a good idea and we can remove the 2010 server after confirming everything is done.
