Search - is it time to break the product silos?
Is it time that we had a truly unified search across all of Office 365 rather than discrete silos in SharePoint, Yammer etc. ?
Are there plans to move all of the search workloads into Azure and leverage it's search capabilities?

We would definitely like to see this happen. We are currently attempting to integrate Yammer with SharePoint, but it's pretty painful. I hear there's talk of Office Graph coming to the rescue. Have you heard anything, Simon?
Yes there is a long running project looking at the infrastructure that supports Yammer. From a search perspective I believe the goal is to move Yammer into the 'Exchange substrate' once it is there search should be much better.
As for the Graph, yes once Yammer is hooked into the Graph there is a a new world of possibilities
- SharePoint Search engine is much more better and powerfull than Azure Search that it's intended, by the way, to other kind of use cases and scenarios...at least currently....indeed, what whe are seeing is that SharePoint Search and the smart search concept is spreading end-to-end in Office 365
