Sync external OneDrive shared folders
- Jan 23, 2018
You cannot sync folders shared from a user belonging to another organization.
Good Morning,
Since someone has woken this string - any word on general release of this "feature"?
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/b2b-sync
We also released a preview of Azure AD B2B sharing functionality for SPO and ODB.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/sharepoint-azureb2b-integration-preview
Please let us know if you have any more questions about the functionality but consider the OneDrive sync feature released.

Instructions are nice but where is this working? We currently have shares with a few tenants and a couple users have successfully linked in OneDrive but others don't even show the buttons in the toolbar to Sync or Add. Possible that the other tenants do not have the proper settings in place, possible they manually created the guest accounts for the couple that are working?
Bottom line - the lightweight hacks over at DropBox are making Microsoft look like chumps. GET THIS FIGURED OUT!
- Antoine_RoguesNov 28, 2020Copper ContributorHello,
I'd like to as well (to remove Dropbox as we are currently using it). Is there a uservoice ticket already created ?
Thanks.

Microsoft
lowang Gary_Worsley We currently only support the B2B sharing sync scenario. We do not support the B2C sharing sync scenario, which is the scenario where a Consumer account wants to sync a folder shared from a business account or vice versa. It is great to hear that you want this scenario. Please suggest this feature on UserVoice(https://onedrive.uservoice.com/) so that we can track the request. - lowangNov 12, 2019Copper Contributor
Carter_MSFTI'd like to know aswell. I've invited my personally created outlook.com account via OneDrive for testing. I can open the directory via web browser and edit all the stuff. But the sync button simply isn't there.

Can you share a Onedrive for business folder, to a Onedrive personal account, and sync that to the desktop?
