Outlook keeps asking for password
Hi, we are having an issue with Outlook with an Office365 account on some user. the password prompt are keep on showing. I tried running SARA, update windows 10 and office apps, create new profil...
- Ok so now I tried the same registry settings on a computer with Office 2016 and IT WORKS!
Oh course I had to change for version 16 in the registry.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\AlwaysUseMSOAuthForAutoDiscover REG_DWORD 1
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\EnableADAL REG_DWORD 1
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\Version REG_DWORD 1
Ah lads, I was so excited to see this but no joy for me. One machine is on 2013, had to create the reg entries for 15 ... didn't work. Updated and installed 16, didn't work. Tried to create a new Outlook profile, still being prompted for the user/password. Looks like I'm going to have to rebuild.
Out of curiosity, anyone it worked for, did you have to recreate the Outlook profile or did it resolve the existing one ?

I did not re-create outlook profile, just merge the registry key.
- Ok, very odd one today. 2 of the affected machines just mysteriously started working again ...... one of them I had tried the fixes that Rdreynolds343 had mentioned earlier (but didn't work), the other I hadn't touched yet. hmmmmmmm.........
