ATP licenses for shared mailboxes?

My text is the Microsoft official license rules text.
If a mailbox shared or not - use for example Defender ATP - customer need to pay for the license.
Ground rule:
If you get benefit of the service - you need to pay for the licence.
PascalDBX How do you apply it to a shared mailbox that wasn't converted from a user mailbox? There are no license options.
