Questions on DLP Policy with retention labels

Hi Community,&nbsp;One of our customer raised the below query:&nbsp;My understanding is that DLP will work with retention labels and sensitive information types, NOT sensitivity labels.It looks like DLP will not use Sensitivity Labels…… But will use Retention Labels and look for Sensitive Information Types (80+ or custom configured ones)&nbsp;&lt;&lt; Please refer the attachment 1 and 2 &gt;&gt;&nbsp;I'm configuring this in my MOD portal right now and there is no dropdown in the DLP policy for Sensitivity label. See screenshot below:I’m also interested on when sensitivity labels will be supported in SharePoint Online when creating new sites.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;New Policy choice:&nbsp;&nbsp;Any pointers would be of great help.&nbsp;Many thanks in advance.&nbsp;

Your understanding is correct. Support for sensitivity labels is coming in the future, as detailed in the documentation:&nbsp;https://docs.microsoft.com/en-ca/Office365/SecurityCompliance/data-loss-prevention-policies#support-for-sensitivity-labels-is-coming

No timeframes have been communicated yet though.
