problem with office 365 & godaddy
Hello,
I wanted to migrate from gsuite to O 365.
What did I already have:
- Alreade have a 365 family connected to my @***.net domain
- have 5 accounts in use on outlook.com with my @***.net mail
What did I try:
- Created DNS record for outlook from my old host
- Migrated my domain to Godaddy.
Now with sending mails, it get's into the Spam folder? how is this possible?
also the From adres is not my willem@***.net but an outlook.com adres.
On the internet I read that I have to create an alias with the domain name. But I already have the account created in O365 and in use. So I can't remove it.
I use my willem@***.net to login to outlook.com.
Who can help me?
I did fix this problem.
What to do:
- Add a new alias with @outlook.com
- make the alias the primary account
- remove the **@**.net mail adres.
Add the **@**.net adres as an extra mail in outlook.com

Just a heads-up—using Microsoft 365 through GoDaddy isn’t recommended if you want full control and transparency.
You don’t get access to the main Microsoft admin centers, the pricing isn’t very clear, SharePoint URLs are locked to a bad format (NETORG4504), and support is limited.
The good news? You don’t need to migrate or start over. There’s a simple way to disconnect GoDaddy, called Defederation. It keeps your existing accounts and data, but gives you full access and control under Microsoft.
If you’re ready to move forward or want help reviewing your setup, feel free to reach out—happy to chat and guide you through it.
