Preventing Password change
IS there a way for the admin of office 365 to prevent a user from changing their Password? If the Standard user logs into the office portal online, then can go to the account settings and change the...
- Feb 05, 2024So there is no way, wonder why they show is azure a section for none? could I disable the user from using the web portal?

Tom I already seen that mine is already set to NONE but the password can still be changed.

Sorry, I didn't read carefully. If a user can log in to the portal (MyAccount) with their password, as far as I know (as of today) there is no way to prevent the user from resetting the password.
- VasilMichevFeb 05, 2024MVPThe only way would be to redirect the authentication process to an external system (i.e. use federation), and use the controls therein to prevent password changes.
