PowerPoint presenter view problems

Up until a week ago, I was able to stack PowerPoints using the presenter view, and when I clicked "End Slideshow" it would just return to the previous slideshow and not close presenter view. Doing that, I was able to create smooth presentations using multiple slideshow files. With this latest update, I can no longer do that. Presenter view now closes every time I click "End Slideshow", regardless of how many slideshows i had stacked. Is there a way to restore the former functionality of Presenter View. This change has really hampered me.
