Well, it's now well into 2024 and there is still apparently no solution...

wongls - ive been having the same issues, followed all the steps and ensured default apps are mapping correctly, etc - but still the 'view in broswer' link fails to work and open in Edge... I would have though this was a simple code fix - I dont understand why its been years and no fix?

Just found this as having same problem.
Email has a link to a form I need to fill in. Clicking the link directly in email and I get an error about unsupported browser.
So instead I click 'view in browser' and it opens Explorer and then clicking the link to the form and it says 'explorer is not supported' and give me options for Chrome, Edge, Firefox. However, clicking any of these just takes me to an install page for that browser even though they are all already installed on my system.
So basically I cannot access the form at all.
