outlook opening in web browser format

Microsoft has become more aggressive in their efforts to make Outlook Desktop users switch to Outlook.com. They changed my taskbar icon to launch Outlook.com too. It was taking three launches (and closes) to get it to actually launch the desktop app. Even then it asked twice if I was sure. I found the following fix:
In the Desktop App Home screen, click on File->Options->General->New Outlook Options and turn off "Automatically switch me to the new Outlook app".
This might need to be reset when MS updates the MS 365 apps but it works for me for the time being.
