Outlook Events from mail page is blank, calendar filling with spam

My Outlook calendar is filling up with spam email messages alongside regular events being added from my incoming mail, and swamping them.

 

I'm trying to turn this feature off, but when I go to Settings and find Events from mail, that page is blank. 

 

I have two Outlook/Hotmail accounts. This one is the Premium subscription one. The other is a free account which I've had for over twenty years. The events from mail page works on this one. But not on the Premium account.

 

I've tried all the suggestions I've been able to find : clear cache, use different browsers, use different computers, disassociate account from any non-Outlook emails (e.g. Gmail).

 

Nothing works. My 'premium' email address is registered with all sorts of suppliers, so changing to another Outlook/Hotmail address will be a nightmare.

 

Meantime my calendar is filling with spam and rendering it unusable. Is there any way to have this investigated and fixed?

      Checked those. Have checked that my Hotmail calendar/email (events from email page working OK) has exactly the same settings as my Outlook calendar/email (events from email page blank) and the problem still persists.

      I cannot find any way to alter what events get posted to my calendar, as this page in the settings remains blank.
