OUTLOOK 365 Distribution Group Messages going to GROUP Folder
We have just deployed OFFICE 365 and has AZURE as part of the server side. Our Distribution Group messages are going into a special GROUPS Folder and not into INBOX. It is driving the users crazy. Is there a way, from server side, to remove that GROUPS Folder and have those message go direct into INBOX.
- Groups don't get created on their own, someone made a deliberate decision to provision them, add members, etc. Or to "migrate" your existing DGs to Microsoft 365 Groups.
Anyway, you can go about this in two ways. First, each user can actually "subscribe" to a Group, meaning he will receive any messages addressed to it in his own Inbox (no need to go to the Groups node). An administrator can also "subscriber" users as needed. Second, you can examine why the Groups were provisioned, and if you think traditional DGs best suit your need, replace them with such.
