Can you tell me which Office 365 license you have? Also, what version of Outlook are you using and on what operating system? Can you also check whether the archiving for your mailbox remains enabled?

Ok, now check the retention policies are in place and valid. This may help - Create and configure retention policies to automatically retain or delete content - Microsoft 365 Compliance | Microsoft Docs
Remember, you can always log a support call inside the MS O365 portal to get assistance. That is available for free.I will also assume here you have Microsoft 365 Business Premium and there are no longer Office 365 Business plans.
If you are comfortable with PowerShell:
Get-EXOMailbox -Properties Name, RetentionPolicy
and
Start-ManagedFolderAssistant Email address removed
the last one will force the retention policies into action immediately
