Office 365 Hybrid/Autodiscover

Hello,

My organization is running Exchange 2010 and wants to migrate to Office 365.  We have no internal or external DNS records configured for autodiscover.  I know that Hybrid requires autodiscover to be working properly, so my question is: if I configure autodiscover properly for my on-prem Exchange environment, will this break the existing Outlook clients that are already configured for on-prem Exchange or force a profile recreation?
