Office 2010 Users Getting Second Prompt when Opening from Office 365

Users using Office 2010 are being prompted to login when opening any file in the 2010 client applications. A small window appears asking them to login.

 

Scenario:

I navigate to a SharePoint site, I click edit document to open in Word 2010 and I am required to login again.

 

Any suggestions? Is this expected?

    Unfortunately Office 2010 is not officially supported, so I don't think you'll get much luck getting assistance sorry. :-(
