What's wrong with the sharing experience in OneDrive for Business/SharePoint Online? It's integrated with Outlook, easy to use and at the same time offers comprehensive admin controls. And you get tons of space for free. Probably just a question of user education (pun?) and more strict policies (though I doubt blocking g-suite will play well).
