MS Word 16.43 not showing Comments in the Markup Options section
When trying to run Track Changes, my version of MS Word does not show "Comments" in the Markup Options dropdown box, only Ink, Inserts and Deletions, and Formatting are given. So I can't add comment...

I had this problem too. Took me an hour to figure it out. Go to Preferences > General and uncheck Enable modern comments (under the Web Options... button). Then restart Word. Comments should be back under Markup Options, where they belong.
The above instructions are for Word 365 on Mac. If you're on Windows, it may be slightly different, but look for modern comments and turn them off!
