Moving "changed" message in Outlook

My outlook is telling me that I can't move a message from inbox to another folder because it's been "changed", but I haven't changed the message at all.  I only opened it.  Anyone have a solution to this?

I have had this problem, too.  Very frustrating.

Sometimes, I mark the mail as Unread and then it moves just fine.  But this is not consistent.

One thing I notice is that if there is content that is blocked when the mail is opened, and I add the sender to Trusted Senders list, the message actually does change and I get the error if I try to save it to another folder.

I wish they could fix this!

This has to be one of the most annoying aspects of Outlook and for the life of me can't figure out why this happens...and why Microsoft engineers even let this be an issue.

I don't have a good answer for your question but the "work arounds" proposed by other respondent probably work, but why should users have to utilize "work arounds" ?

Microsoft...if you are listening...please fix this issue.

Try forwarding it to another account and then sending it back again (from the other account) to your in box.

Alternatively, open the email, copy its contents and paste them in to a new email. Sent that email to yourself and you'll hopefully have an email that you can then move wherever you want. This latter option should remove any glitch that has occurred in the original.
