Modern UI SharePoint - Multiple Lines of text column type with Rich Text option

In Modern UI, when a list has Multiple lines of text column with Rich Text option chosen. this particular metadata column alone has "div" enclosures, when editing an entry in the list, like when you try to open a list in SP 2007 in Chrome or firefox. This doesn't happen when option of Plain Text and Enhanced Rich Text is chosen.

 

 

Any idea why.

    Yes, this is the normal behaviour for What I can remember when using rich text in lists! I don’t think there are any solution except custom coding to get rid of these..
    I’m glad if someone prove me wrong though!!
